Blender 3D - Ubuntu Application to Create and Edit 3D Models


Blender is a super nifty graphics application that works really well with Ubuntu and most other Linux operating systems. The Blender 3D application is just as powerful as some of the expensive, proprietary suites, and includes a variety of advanced and professional features. In terms of modeling, you can do anything you need to with the multiresolution scripting capabilities, modifier stacks, and python scripting controls. Today's Ubuntu application also features a lightning quick rendering engine with advanced features, along with animation controls.

You can get ubuntu Blender from the official Ubuntu repository with the following Terminal command:

sudo apt-get install blender

WiFi Radar - Ubuntu Wireless Application to Configure Connections

WiFi Radar is a sweet Ubuntu Application to set up and configure your wireless connections through an easy, intuitive inferface. This Ubuntu wireless utility is created with Python/pyGTK2, and can scan for available networks and create wireless profiles.

You know, I had the joy of setting up my wireless by hand on my last Linux laptop. It's not fun. This Ubuntu wireless application will save you so much time and allow you to easily transfer from bookstore to coffee shop to school and back.

You can get it really easily from the Ubuntu repository:
